Juvenile Consequences Partnership

This program is a partnership of the Houston Bar Association, the Harris County Probation Department, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the Houston Police Department. The program provides education about juvenile justice system to youth in the deferred prosecution program and their parents. The program is held once a month, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the United Way of Greater Houston building by invite only. Each partner organization speaks for 15 minutes on their role in the juvenile justice system. The goal of the program is to give deserving youth a second chance and keep youth out of the system through an increased understanding of the juvenile justice system and its consequences.

Due to health concerns, the Juvenile Consequences Partnership Program scheduled for March 18, 2020 has been canceled.

These are partners and speakers for the January program: HBA JCP Co-chair Dennis Carter, Officer Mark Boone of HPD, peer speaker Jake Ortiz, and Darren O'Neal, Harris County Juvenile Probation Dept., (not pictured is John Jordan of the Harris County District Attorney's Office)
